2025 Sturgis Rally Events
Tuesday, July 29
- South Dakota Department of Revenue will be setting up in the Council Chambers at City Hall
Wednesday, July 30
- Join Sturgis Chief of Police Geody VanDewater and other Sturgis PD officers on a guided ride through the Northern Hills for the 4th Annual Chief's Ride. Registration this year will benefit the Sturgis Police Reserves. 100% of the proceeds will go to the charity. Riders will depart from the tennis courts behind the Sturgis Community Center at 1401 Lazelle St at 9am sharp. Please arrive by 8:30am to meet the Chief, check-in and receive your ride instructions.
Thursday, July 31
- 9 AM - 8 PM: Sturgis Rally Headquarters open with vendors in air-conditioned comfort at 1019 Main Street
Friday, Aug. 1
- 2 AM: Street Closure
- 9 AM - 8 PM: Sturgis Rally Headquarters open with vendors in air-conditioned comfort at 1019 Main Street
- 2 - 4 PM: Opening Ceremony & Parade down Main Street featuring the Budweiser Clydesdales. Ceremony immediately following at Harley-Davidson Rally Point
- 4 - 6 PM: The Startline - Mayor Kevin Forrester's welcome reception at City Hall balcony, atrium and upstairs library. Invite only for mayor's ride participants
- 6 - 8 AM: Sturgis United Methodist Church, 1755 Ball Park Road, serving breakfast to city staff, law enforcement, first responders
Saturday, Aug. 2
- 8 AM: 22nd Annual Mayor's Ride (Pre-registration required). Riders depart from the north parking lot of the Sturgis Community Center at 1401 Lazelle Street. Kickstands up at 9 AM
- 9 AM - 8 PM: Rally Headquarters open with vendors at 1019 Main Street
- 6 - 8 AM: Breakfast at Sturgis United Methodist Church
- 1 PM: News Conference at Public Works Break Room
Sunday, Aug. 3
- 8 AM: Medicine Wheel Ride starting at Bear Butte State Park (Kickstands up at 9:30 AM)
- 9 AM - 8 PM: Rally Headquarters open at 1019 Main Street
- 6 - 8 AM: Breakfast at Sturgis United Methodist Church
- 1 PM: News Conference at Public Works Break Room
Monday, Aug. 4
- 9 AM - 8 PM: Rally Headquarters open

MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY
- 9 AM - 8 PM: Rally Headquarters open
- 2 PM: VFW Military Appreciation Day at Harley-Davidson Rally Point
- Honorees: All city of Sturgis veterans
- 3 PM: B-1 Flyover
- 6 - 8 AM: Breakfast at Sturgis United Methodist Church
- 1 PM: News Conference at Public Works Break Room
Wednesday, Aug. 6
- 8 - 11 AM: Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame Induction at the Lodge at Deadwood
- 9 AM - 8 PM: Rally Headquarters open
- 6 - 8 AM: Breakfast at Sturgis United Methodist Church
- 1 PM: News Conference at Public Works Break Room
