The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) was founded in 1972 to improve the quality of automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of automobile, truck and collision technicians, as well as certain specialty areas such as machinists and parts specialists. When looking for the best in automotive service, look for the ASE logo.
Although the certification of professional automotive technicians and parts specialists remains ASE's primary mission, its role has grown over the years to encompass much more. Today, ASE is an independent, nonprofit organization that works in many ways to help educate consumers, the media and others to promote informed decision making when seeking automotive repairs. ASE is also an information resource for professionals and consumers about many automotive topics. Team ASE provides a banner under which everyone can participate and support the ASE family. The Team ASE website provides links to associate sponsors and both professional and amateur race teams, along with links to the various venues in which Team ASE participates.
Originally created as a racing program to salute technicians who demonstrate high performance every day, Team ASE has grown into a multi-faceted outreach effort that includes the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, several satellite racing teams, a grassroots racing program, a Professional Bull Riding program, the Shell Aerobatic Team and, of course, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The ASE corporate hospitality village at Sturgis is sponsored by ASE, Snap-on and Ultra Wheel Company.
"Harley-Davidson has been an ardent supporter of the Sturgis motorcycle
rally for many years. As a company, we enjoy doing business with the many people involved with the rally and we truly enjoy seeing all of our riders enjoying Sturgis and the Black Hills," noted Stephanie Schaefer, events manager for Harley-Davidson. "As a sponsor of the rally over the years, we have enjoyed seeing the event continue to grow and have been proud to associate our great brand with the rally and the community of Sturgis."
"Harley-Davidson Motor Company, the only major U.S.-based motorcycle manufacturer, produces heavyweight motorcycles and a complete line of motorcycle parts, accessories and general merchandise. For more information, visit Harley-Davidson's Web site at www.harley-davidson.com."
As an
official sponsor of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally,
Jack Daniel's has been recognized by motorcycle enthusiasts
as a product of American quality. Ever since Jack
Daniel's Tennessee whiskey was awarded the first of
seven gold medals at the St. Louis World's Fair in
1904, the smooth sippin' whiskey has stood for authenticity,
Americana and freedom. And that's exactly why Jack
Daniel's is proud to be part of the annual Sturgis
Motorcycle Rally.
Officially registered by the U.S. Government in 1866,
the Jack Daniel Distillery, Lem Motlow proprietor,
is the oldest registered distillery in the United
States and is on the National Register of Historic
Places. Located in Lynchburg, Tenn. (pop. 361), the
Jack Daniel Distillery is the maker of the world-famous
Jack Daniel Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey, Gentleman
Jack Rare Tennessee Whiskey, and Jack Daniel's Single
Barrel Tennessee Whiskey. With over 200,000 visitors
annually from across the globe, the Jack Daniel Distillery
has long been one of the more popular tourist attractions
in the Southeast…. especially for those visitors arriving
on motorcycles.
For the sixth
consecutive year, motorcycle enthusiasts and visitors
to Sturgis, South Dakota, will be able to tour the
nation's oldest registered distillery from outside
the Jack Daniel's Hollow. The Jack Daniel's Experience,
which consists of a 53-foot tractor trailer and a
42-foot trailer filled with artifacts, state-of-the
art video monitors, sound system and graphics, is
designed to bring a little of the world famous distillery
to the people.
"The Jack Daniel's Experience gives a quick and easy
lesson of how we've made our award winning Tennessee
whiskey for more than 150 years," says Dave Stang,
Jack Daniel's Sponsorship Director. "But even more
than that, it provides folks with history of the brand,
and the people and stories of the distillery. It even
includes displays of fun artifacts from some prominent
friends we've made along the way."
The Jack Daniel's Experience also includes a bar where
attendees of the legal drinking age can purchase Jack
Daniel's Country Cocktails. Folks 21 and above can
also purchase Jack Daniel's merchandise from the traveling
"Lynchburg Store." As always, the Jack Daniel's Experience
will be featuring fun, giveaways and the Jack Daniel's
ladies. Folks are welcome to stop by and visit with
Jimmy Bedford, Master Distiller at Jack Daniel's,
who will be on hand for photos and to sign collectible
items.
Jack Daniel's will again serve as a presenting sponsor
for the annual Sturgis Rally Mayor's Ride on August
4,
2008.

Pork. The Other White Meat®
is proud to be the official meat of the 2008 Sturgis
Motorcycle Rally. We hope that you enjoy the pork
products featured throughout the Rally and that you
take home some great recipe ideas. Be sure to visit
Theotherwhitemeat.com
for more lip-smacking recipe ideas.
The South Dakota Pork Producers
Council was established in 1954, when pork producers
realized the value in promoting their product. In
1985, the Federal Pork Act authorized producer checkoff
for use in promotion, education and research. The
famous tagline, Pork. The Other White Meat, came
from these checkoff funds and has grown to become
the fifth most recognizable tagline in American
advertising.
Our mission is to responsibly serve,
support and enhance the success of the South Dakota
pork production industry by managing industry issues
to successful conclusions, improving the image of
the industry and insuring a safe, wholesome and
quality product through a unified & engaged
membership.
Our purpose is to support the pork
industry in South Dakota by showing you how modern
technology has improved the agriculture and livestock
industries. South Dakota pork producers will bring
over 2.4 million hogs to market this year. The pork
industry has an economic impact in South Dakota
of over $500 million and accounts for over 8,000
jobs for farm families, processors and supporting
services in the state. South Dakota pork producers
make a difference.
We want you to know also, how good
pork is for you; how easy it can be to cook and
serve at every meal, and help you understand the
good-quality meats that come from your own backyard.
Pork's nutritional value has changed with the industry
in the past 50 years. Pork is now 46% leaner than
50 years ago. Six cuts of pork, including the pork
loin are considered as lean as the chicken breast.
Healthy, lean and packed full of nutrients, we want
you to make pork the meat of choice.

The Olympics have "it". Daytona and Laconia rallies have "it". The Boston Marathon has gone to court to protect "it". "It" is the "Official Logo" of an event - the registered mark that represents the official hosting agency. The logo is granted to products approved by the official licensing agent, and money received is used for purposes determined by the owner group.
The "Official Logo" for the Sturgis Rally was originally designed and developed by Tom Monahan as a vehicle to help fund the Black Hills Motorcycle Classic. Tom gave the logo to the Sturgis Chamber in 1986. As owner of Tom's T's, Tom volunteered in 1986 to give $2.00 to the Sturgis Chamber for each t-shirt sold that was imprinted with the licensed and registered Black Hills Motor Classic logo.
This led to the current licensing procedure in which
a portion of the money from a customer's purchase
of a licensed product is returned in royalties to
support the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and improve the
Sturgis community. This year, Tom's T's continues
as a member of the prestigious ranks of "Official
Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Sponsors" as the exclusive
t-shirt of the 2008 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Stop
by our store at 1117 Main Street when you're passing
through and let Tom personally welcome you to Sturgis
or order on-line at www.tomsts.com!

One day back in the summer of 2000 an idea was born by a Sturgis gent named Steve Barry. The idea was to provide a shuttle service during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally so that people would not have to fight traffic, worry about finding a place to park and most importantly, stay off the road after they had a few drinks. It was then that "DA BUS" was born.
From its humble beginnings over half a dozen years
ago with just 2 buses, to almost a dozen buses last
year, "DA BUS" has become a very integral component
of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Campgrounds around
Sturgis find this shuttle service to be a great benefit
to their businesses with "DA BUS" transporting virtually
thousands of guests in ever growing numbers from their
campsite to a favorite concert venue, downtown bar,
racing event or just to and from famous Sturgis Main
Street! "DA BUS" delivers passengers - safely - to
their destination.
"DA BUS", an Official Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Sponsor, is pleased to continue its partnership with the City of Sturgis and local Law Enforcement to provide safe, efficient, accessible and economical transportation services to our Sturgis Motorcycle Rally guests. For more information on "DA BUS", or for advance single trip, daily or weekly wristband purchases on-line, go to www.sturgisbus.com. Have a safe Rally and remember - DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE! RIDE "DA BUS"!
