We are so excited to announce this special fundraising project!  Luthier Tony Hill has agreed to make a custom, one-of-a-kind electric guitar that will be used for a fundraiser for Sturgis Center for the Arts.  This guitar is an officially licensed, 70th Anniversary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally product. 

Only one of these guitars will be built.  This guitar is extraordinary!  The raw materials used to make this guitar will cost somewhere around $1,500 -- and that is at Tony’s wholesale prices!  Only the very best materials and parts are used.  Just the piece of Maple wood used for the top of the body cost near $400.  And then on to Tony’s time, labor, skill, expertise, and artistic abilities.  At this point, he is not done yet, but he will have hundreds of hours into this guitar.  More technical information about this guitar will be posted on the web site soon.

We are currently working to get some celebrities to sign and play the guitar during the rally concerts.  The guitar will include a case, custom 70th Anniversary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally guitar strap, a DVD that tells the story of this guitar, and a photo book.  This will be a very valuable collectors item.

Our intention is to raffle this guitar at the 2010 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.  The raffle paperwork with the state of South Dakota is currently pending.  Tickets will be sold for $20 each.  When the raffle paperwork is complete, tickets will be sold thru a number of channels -- including on-line.

The profits from this fundraiser will help Sturgis Center for the Arts in our pursuit of a permanent facility.
