Sturgis, S.D.—The 2012 Harley-Davidson Ride-In Custom Bike Show was held on Friday Aug. 10 at the 72^nd Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.  With 60 bikes entered this year, the show attracted a large crowd all afternoon. 

This is the third year the Ride-In Show has been held at 3^rd & Lazelle Streets in Sturgis.  Prior to that, Harley-Davidson held the show in Rapid City as well as at other rallies across the country. 

The Ride-In Show was judged by experts from Harley-Davidson’s Styling Department and Parts & Accessories teams.  American Iron Magazine was on location to assist with voting and prizes.  The magazine’s choice for Editor’s Pick will be featured in American Iron or Motorcycle Bagger Magazine.

"Every Harley-Davidson motorcycle starts as a blank canvas for its owner to truly make it his or her own. The Ride-In Show is a great opportunity for us to showcase the incredible passion for self-expression and creativity our customers have for their motorcycles and share that with attendees of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally," said Matt King, Harley-Davidson Product Communication Manager. 

Steve Piehl, Director of Customer Experience North America, and Willie G. Davidson, Harley-Davidson Chief Styling Officer Emeritus, presented awards to the 2012 winners. 

First place winners and runner-up designees received a custom engraved Harley-Davidson transmission case cover plate and the first place winner also was awarded a $200 cash prize.  Winners for each class are listed below.
