Unveil to be filmed for an upcoming episode of American Chopper
Newburgh, Ny (August 4, 2010) - Orange County Choppers, the custom bike shop featured on the TLC television show,
American Chopper, will unveil an Electric Drag Bike on Thursday, August 12 at 10:30 am at the Sturgis Dragway (SR-79 in North Sturgis).
The Lawless Electric Drag bike is being built with the intention to break the 1/4 mile speed record, by attempting to reach a speed of 200 mph. Shawn Lawless, for whom the bike is being built, is owner of Lawless Electric Drag Bike, will use a 363 volt lithium nano phosphate battery and have 1,980 individual battery cells. Orange County Choppers along with Lawless expect this bike that has a 500+ horsepower to be the fastest battery powered motorcycle built to date. The bike build and the unveil at Sturgis Dragway will be featured on an upcoming episode of American Chopper.
In addition to the unveil, Orange County Choppers will be displaying custom made bikes and selling merchandise at the Exxon Mobil 1 trailer located at 4th and Lazelle Street. Paul Teutul Sr. and Rick Petko will be doing autograph signings at this location on Thursday, August 12 as well. Rick will be signing from 1pm-3pm and Paul Sr from 3pm-4pm.
