New Mystic Motorcycle Trails Open In The Black Hills National Forest
September 28, 2011
Riders who love the Black Hills will be excited to have 10 miles of new trails recently opened by the Forest Service.

The Forest Service working with volunteers placed trail markers on each end as well as "assurance" markers along the trail to help riders know where they are. The new Motorcycle Only trails require advanced riding skills and users are encouraged to carry a Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) with them. Visit http://www.forestphoto.com/asset-bank/action/viewAsset?id=6694 for a map of the new trail.

A new motorcycle trail dozer, donated in part by the Yamaha Corporation, was used to open up the trails and will be used this fall to open up additional motorcycle trails. The dozer specializes in building and maintaining trails and can be driven or remotely operated.
