Playhouse sues state over Custer State Park lease
November 19, 2009
The Black Hills Playhouse has moved -- but only as far as circuit court. 
The 63-year-old theater group is suing the state Game, Fish & Parks Department and Gov. Mike Rounds over a disputed lease at its historic location in Custer State Park.

Rally bikers can get $10 state park pass

Lorenzo Lamas: Leave It To Lamas!

Leave It to Lamas is a new half-hour reality series that follows actor Lorenzo Lamas and his outrageous Hollywood family.

Lorenzo, 51, has six children but it seems only his three oldest ones will get air time — Shayne, A.J. and Dakota. (Their mother and Lorenzo’s ex-wife Michele Smith will also star.)

One of his many ventures featured in the series is Lorenzo’s new motorcycle line that the former Renegade star is launching at the Sturgis Bike Rally.

South Dakota motorcycle helmet use at 34 percent

The first state survey on helmet use by motorcycle riders falls in line with what biker Jiggs Cressy expected: About two-thirds of riders who have a choice don't don the headgear.

And if they're adults, they don't have to.

 For Cressy, the state coordinator of ABATE South Dakota, it's a matter of personal choice and safety.
