The Sturgis® Motorcycle Rally™ has been a South Dakota tradition since August 14, 1938. Rally founder, “Pappy” Hoel, started the event after purchasing a motorcycle franchise and beginning the Jackpine Gypsies Motorcycle Club. The Rally is one of the longest running, weeklong motorcycle rallies in the country and gathers over a half million people each year from all over the world. This weeklong event has bike shows, concerts, motor-cross events, and other unorthodox events that make Rally a truly unique event. Social media channels offer participants and fans the opportunity to connect throughout the year about this one of a kind experience.
