The Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground has been the site of the Best Party Anywhere since 1982.The Chip is the most widely known entertainment venue serving the motorcycle industry, drawing worldwide media attention through daily entertainment that includes a sanctioned hill climb, motorcycle rodeos and nightly concerts featuring the country’s top acts.Southern Rock icons Lynyrd Skynyrd have been announced for the 2008 rally. The concerts at the Buffalo Chip are free for the folks camping there.The Chip has 22 bars on the premises, including the famous Black Parrot, an oasis that includes waterfalls, a fountain, a beach and a tiki bar. The Chip is also known for the many fine restaurants that offer everything from Domino’s Pizza to fine prime rib at the Stage West Café and the extraordinary steaks the Pitchfork Fondue.
A mini city is contained within the campground’s borders with vendors to serve any camper’s needs. Campers can camp anywhere from the middle of the party in the amphitheater to the relative quiet in more remote parts of the camp.
Custer State Park is a 71,000 acre vacation paradise featuring three of the most popular rides in the Black Hills: Needles Highway, Wildlife Loop Road and Iron Mountain Road that connects Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore. 1,500 free roaming buffalo, abundant wildlife, lakes, streams and more.
